WaterFinding savings on water, sewage and effluent costs is a speciality for eum. It is in fact the utility where we find the most billing errors and obtain the largest amount of refunds for our customers. Responsibility to find past overcharges rests with the customerAs with all utilities our analysts begin with a full check of the customer’s invoices to identify mistakes in such areas as metering, sewage volumes, surface drainage and highway drainage. We find that many companies are being overcharged by their water supplier due to the outdated information they hold about the supply. It is up to the customer to make sure the water company has the correct information. We find leaks, fix them and obtain a refundOnce the water invoices have been fully analysed, our engineers visit each site to investigate any further charging errors which can only be found by a site survey. As well as identifying the potential for water conservation the engineers will also check for leaks both above and below ground. Our analysts then deal with the supplier to negotiate refunds for any leaks once they have been repaired. All civil and plumbing works can be fully managed by eum. The results of our findings are included in our report and discussed with the customer in person. Again, the customer can then specify which recommendations we should implement or pursue with the supplier to completion.
