Services OverviewRefunds for past overchargesThe first step to finding the savings available to our customers is to identify all the past overcharges made by the suppliers. We carry out a detailed check of past invoices for all utilities, investigating areas where suppliers regularly make mistakes. Overcharges are often hidden in the rates and may date back many years, even if the customer has changed suppliers in the meantime. Once an overcharge is found, eum will go back through previous years invoices to obtain the maximum possible refund for the customer. Contracts and pricesWe next review existing contracts to prepare a highly competitive tender for all supplies and all chosen utilities: electricity, gas, oil, road fuel, water and telecoms. Prices should be reviewed continuously, even mid-term during a contract. eum are completely impartial when purchasing utilities and this is well known to the suppliers when responding to our tenders. Over the last seven years the prices obtained by our customers when using eum have been an average 8.9% lower than when purchasing directly or via another consultant. Energy and water efficiencyAs well as reducing the prices paid for utilities we also reduce energy and water wastage. Our energy and water engineers carry out an efficiency survey at every property occupied by the customer. RecommendationsOnce this work has been completed we present a comprehensive report to the customer covering all possible refunds and potential savings and agree on those recommendations the customer would like us to implement. Comprehensive utility cost reviewAlthough it is not necessary to use each service for each utility, most businesses do prefer a full and comprehensive review of all utility costs. There is no risk to the customer since if no saving is made there is no charge. By covering all utilities our customers have complete peace of mind, knowing every cost area has been fully reviewed and checked.
